THE OPPORTUNITY
Mwendo is a DC-area production company that creates impact documentaries, commercials, and narrative films for nonprofits, schools, brands, and organizations globally. Our work has been featured on CNN, PBS, and HBO Max.

We're not looking for a traditional hire right now. We're looking for a connected, entrepreneurial partner who can open doors and close business on a flexible, performance-based arrangement.
If you have existing relationships in agency, nonprofit, education, faith-based, healthcare, or corporate social impact sectors and you're looking for high-upside work you can do on your own terms, this is worth a conversation.
WHAT THE ARRANGEMENT LOOKS LIKE
This is a commission-based independent contractor relationship. Your time, your schedule, your way.
What you earn:
15% commission on new client revenue you close in year 1
8% on continued revenue from those same clients in year 2
On $300K in new annual revenue, that's $36-45K in commissions. The upside scales with what you close.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Attending events and conferences to represent Mwendo in your sector
Identifying organizations that need high-quality video and impact storytelling
Making warm introductions and setting up discovery conversations with Mwita
Supporting early-stage client conversations before handing off to the creative team
YOU'RE A FIT IF
You have real existing relationships in nonprofit, education, faith-based, or corporate social impact
You're between full-time roles, consulting independently, or looking for a strong commission stream alongside other work
You can speak credibly about storytelling, video, and impact without needing to be a filmmaker
You're self-directed and motivated by doing meaningful work and earning well for it
